Rider Therapy

Sports Massage is the management, manipulation and rehabilitation of soft tissues of the body including muscles, tendons and ligaments. It is applicable not just to sports people but to anybody wishing to guard against or recover from a soft tissue injury.

Chiropractic/Spinal Manipulation  is the diagnosis and treatment of  mechanical disorders of the muscoloskeletal system and uses skilled passive movements to joints and/or related soft tissues.

Acupuncture is a form of ancient Chinese medicine in which fine needles are inserted into the skin at certain points on the body.

It is commonly used for pain relief and to treat a wide range of conditions.

Rider Benefits

It is essential as a rider that you take care of your own body and your ability to function physically whilst riding your horse.  Even small  restrictions and physical limitations within you as a rider can have a huge effect on your communication aids and your horse's performance. It is highly likely that you are not able to sit equally on both seat bones and that your weight, leg and upper body aids are not functioning in a symmetrical manner. The signals you are giving to your horse are impaired.  Most riders pay great attention to managing the welfare and body of their horse but unfortunately seriously neglect their own. You perform as one with your horse and you need to make sure that you are able to train them in the best way possible. Take some time to analyse and understand the physical improvements that YOU can make to aid your effectiveness as a rider.

Our focus is to analyse your position and rider restrictions/limitations and remove these through both ridden training exercises and physical therapy interventions where required.
