My focus as a dressage rider/trainer and equine therapist is to provide a high quality service where the wellbeing of the horse is paramount. I have a small family run yard from which I train and compete my own horses (currently to Inter II - working towards Grand Prix), I also take horses for training livery and offer intensive training for both you and your horse if you wish to come and stay.
I train with Rhett Bird, GP rider. I buy my own horses unbroken and enjoy training them through the levels myself with Rhett's support. I have competed at the National Dressage Champs at a variety of levels and been selected for the Lottery funded Regional Foundation Squad in previous years.
I am qualified as an Advanced Equine Body Worker and UKCC level 3 British Dressage accredited trainer, fully insured and I travel throughout the East Midlands providing soft tissue therapy and teaching. I find the combined knowledge a great advantage, not only for my own horses but also to ensure that my clients can make the most of their training.
I have a number of individual clients and also run regular clinic days at several yards throughout the region (combination of soft tissue therapy or ridden training). I am happy to travel and to tailor the content to suit you, and I deliver Health and Wellbeing days from home, combining rider/equine therapy and ridden training (A spa day with your horse!!)
I also offer ridden demonstrations and lectures - again combining the knowledge from both therapy and training to help our horses to perform comfortably and to the best of their ability.
Rider therapy is offered through Livewell Therapy Ltd who were part of the medical team at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and have a wealth of expertise including soft tissue, spinal manipulation, acupuncture and hot stones massage (good enough for our top athletes - great for you!)
I hope you find something of interest on my website, please get in touch if you have any questions or want to know more about how I may be able to help you.
